Sigh.
Well, I guess change happens. But as for me, I like things simple. I
like this message-board format site, devoted to pet rabbits, text only.
So I will still be checking in here and even occasionally posting
something about my bunnies.
Hope all of yours are well!

Yes Nona, must be a lot of folks going to the other places. I thought
maybe something technical happened here.Carla Liza and Jodie.
I've been busy with wedding planning. Ray's daughter is getting married in
March. I'm working on a shower at the moment, so I've been MIA in many
places.

I wondered why things had gone so quiet!
Let's work hard to get them back as well as the other places.

Wanted to post while on the road but, had real bad internet
connections. (was going to post from Google, actually I did once)
I think you can blame the lack of access to UseNet more than
anything. I think the new social (bunny groups) are just filling that
void/gap.
I, for one will not be joining any of those social groups. Embarrassing
myself all over the world on this APR group is enough for me! LOL

I know that a lot of us are on Facebook, and I'm active in a couple of
LiveJournal bunny groups - including a happily fairly quiet one for
people with chronic pasteurella buns (called snufflebuns).
Cam(stealthbunny) really hasn't had the energy to get over here
regularly. ThePhooka recovered from his bout of semi-stasis, but in a
very short time she then lost her Tiki-kitty to cancer and her Jazzi-
kitty to just overwhelming pain. She and TP are getting by as best
they can but healing is going to take some time. But there are
orphaned kittens at her vet's office so sometime soon she will take TP
with her to pick out a new tiny friend for them to bring home.
Things are OK with Pepper and I. Her pasteurella is pretty much sub-
clinical now. About once every couple of months she will start
sneezing again and I'll treat her with a week of antibiotics and a few
nebulizer sessions and she'll be fine again. I've been really busy as
I deal with my condo board, plan costume programming for an upcoming
SF convention, try to get musical gigs in a dismal economy and seek to
leave my pointlessly stressful day-job. I have a second interview
tomorrow for an admin position in a new lab at Northwestern - I'm
tired of working for stupid people!

i am here. just been ingrossed in getting molokai better.
I've become a lurker since I lost newsgroups on my ISP. I scan the
posts at least once or twice a week. Things are pretty quiet in my
household, if you can consider life with 3 rabbits, 9 hens, 4 ducks, 1
dog and 1 almost 6 year old skinkid quiet :-)!

All our crew are good. Lily came through her spay with flying colors.
Pixie's mouth issues seem to have settled for now and we are still working
on bonding.
I'm currently working on a multi level condo with NIC cubes for Tiffany,
Pavlina and possibly Teddy.
Joe, Debbie, Zoe and the rest of the gang
p.s. Zoe is wondering about the UHF. We have had a number of new recruits
since last roll call.

Aimee is doing quite well. She's a very mellow fiesty now and extremely
bonded to me (and I to her!). It's difficult to believe, but she will turn
seven in February. I have a big armchair that I study in that she clearly
feels should rightfully be hers. She spends a great deal of time plotting to
oust me and she is downright gleeful when she takes possession of it. I
can't help but laugh.
Here are a couple of shots of when she accomplished her mission:

I can't respond to posts.

Jackie and I have always sat on the floor with our legs stretched out in
front so when we got bunnies that fought we had no trouble giving Little H
the floor (as she is the more active) and Panda the sofa. Even now that P is
dead we sit on the floor with Little H.

I'm a long-timer, albeit a lurking one rather than posting, although
I'm on Facebook and loving every minute of it! I've been needing
quite a bit of support lately with one thing and another, and the
APR'ers on Facebook have been real treasures. And the Christmas card
exchange is on my mind too, and I'll be joining in, as ever. It's the
high point of my year! I've had my cards since January!!

I was feeling mad nostalgic for my introduction to the internet, age 11,
with alt.star-trek.creative so I loaded up my news client. Had to do
some searching around on google to find an NNTP server but managed it
eventually. Weirdly, I've never found forums as easy to use as Usenet
and I largely ignore the digests of emails of the two mailing lists I'm
on.
*clings to Usenet*
And now I need to go peer out the window again - my poor baby is being
relegated to an outside hutch and we're both still getting used to it.

This morning I brought the kids to St. Lukes's Episcopal Church here
in Long Beach for the blessing of the animals for the feast of St.
Francis. I've wanted to do this for a long time now. The kids did
well. Raul was remarkable calm even with the dogs present. Kuni sis
great, too. Noodles was skittish about the hubbub and barking but got
through her blessing well. I have photos on my Facrbook site and will
get around to uploading them on Webshots to give everyone a peek.
I haven't been on line much because I don't check my computer daily
now. I hve a dispute with my employer [long story with hostile
workplace and a clinic social worker who qualifies for at least 2
personality disorders, sheesh] . I am trying to get an accommodation
for half time ans that I never work with this woman in a clinic
setting. My chief psychiatrist, who has dementia [no joke] can't seem
to comprehend this and the powers above him are dragging their feet.
I went on a stress leave in early June that should have been 3-4 weeks
max, got cleared with accommodations from my MD but the higher-ups
that make that decision [above my demented chief] have been dragging
their feet ans so I am still on leave [now unpaid pending the workers'
comp morass].
PFFFFT.
Cheers, Diva
Kuni [note the glow that I emanate now that I have been blessed], Raul
[I need a stress leave from cars and dogs] and Noodles [in the photos
I look ravishing, don't I?]

It's too bad people neglect news groups such as APR. I like plain text as
there's less chance of infections. I'm also legally blind so all those apps
are largely wasted on me. I can also screen messages whereas I know of no
way to do that on Facebook or Twitter. I'm on both of them by the way. The
social media outlets are nice but I'll stick with news groups, just like I
still use MS DOS and cassette tapes. They work so why ditch them?

I'm going to try to get my sh1t together this year and join in the Christmas
card exchange, though the unfamiliar names outnumber the familiar ones at
this point.
And I think this might be a good place to announce my new website:
www.eggplantediting.ca. Please check it out -- I need the hits so that the
search engines can find me! (I think it's a unique and beautiful design
that's worth checking out. My friend Frank did an awesome job of it.)
I send my love to everybody and their buns. Christopher Rabbit is still
going strong and, if it's even possible, is mellower than ever. Todd-the-Dog
is showing his age but is still wildly enthusiastic about life (especially
walks in the woods).
