Well if you really are 11, and really want a Macaw, you have a couple
choices. See if you can get your Parents interested in large birds, or wait.
A B&G will most likely live as long as you will, it's a life time
commitment. How you feel about it at 11, my not be how you feel about it
when you are 25. You may want to go to college, or the military later in
life, and if you have a Parrot someone will have to take care of it for you.
They not only need attention, they, like you, cost money. They need Doctor
visits, food, supplies, and such. Someone has to pay for this. If you can
get your parents interested you may be able to get them to get a Parrot. If
not, best to wait till you are an adult, and can make adult decisions.
