I mentioned in a earlier post that we just got a new Lutino about 8 weeks
old ( though I suspect that she might be a bit younger)....I was watching
her walk last night a noticed she kept tripping herself up by stepping on he
rown feet as she was walking. I this just a normally early co ordination
problem?

Young Tiels are a little on the clumsy side. What type of surface was she
walking on? Carpet? She might be getting hung up in the carpet. Her nails
might need the pointy tips trimmed - very minimal trimming so they don't bleed,
but just get the sharp tip off. Best to have the vet do it and show you how
the first time. My young Tiels are often clumsy no matter where they are
trying to walk or climb - like a baby learning to walk, I guess the
coordination comes with practice. She'll probably be just fine in a little
time.

I have had several tiels with this, they didn't grow out of it. In humans
this is called penguin-foot I think. Where the toes point in ward instead
of out-straight. She will be fine, she'll just need to concentrate more.
When Baby Cakes would get excited and try to run he'd fall over cause he
wasn't concentrating on putting one toes in front of the other. Like I
said, I've had several tiels with this.
