ferrets and allergies?

It was my understanding that the dander of ferrets is much like the
dander of humans and less likely to cause allergic reaction as
compared to cats and dogs. BTW, my girlfriend is deathly allergic to
cats and dogs but has no problem with the ferrets.

Greetings!

I also am terrribly allergic to cats (not dogs) with dangerous spells of
athsma (sp?) and sneezing. Ferrets on the other hand have no effect on me
whatsoever. I hope you have a similar experience. They are wonderful
animals
