How hard is that? Every Siamese, etc breed of cat or dog looks essentially the
same. You should paint a portrait of the pet with it's owner.

Hi Barry,

You are right in saying that types of animals of each breed essentially look
the same. However I know that I could pick my Abyssinian out of a group and
his photo to. Animals have characters like people do and they also have
favourite toys or objects like rugs, or even areas around the home that they
make there's. I paint from photographs and get an idea of peculiarities of
each pet from their owners. No two animals are alike and by adding this
information when I paint I hope that I capture a little of what makes that
animal special to its owner. A small mark or maybe a particular pose often
does it as well.
