Many of the problems you may be having with your dog stem from the
fact that nature never designed the dog to live in complex, modern
human society. Given this fact, dogs have done remarkably well and
have stuck with us through thick and thin for 14,000 years.

However, human society keeps getting more complex with technology and
complicated social systems. If you have trouble reading other
people's signals sometimes, think how hard it is for your dog. A
misreading of these social signals can lead to a lot of problems for
you and your cherished pet. One of the most important things you can
do for your dog is to learn how to understand their communication and
respond accordingly. I've started a blog that has more information of
some of what I'm talking about. If you feel like checking it out,
it's at: http://www.socialdog.blogspot.com

Having a dog is a big lifestyle choice and takes commitment. Don't
give up on your dog because you're finding him challenging. The two
of you can work it out and even have some fun doing it.
