any ideas about shipping cats half way acros the country?

I am planning ahead. Way ahead.

There is a possible move in the future to one of two places. One is
900 miles away, the 1500. Both have their advantages and drawbacks.

However, "main issue" is getting two cats from here to "there". I'm
not sure I want to drive with two cats in carriers or roaming free in
the van, so I'm considering alternate ideas. But does anyone have
any?

There's some good info here. One of my personal tips is to see a
veterinarian to get a sedative that won't hurt kitty, but will make them
sleepy for the trip so it's not so traumatizing
