Hi does anyone have any ideas,
My cat is shedding a lot of fur, & has very bad dander. Does anyone have
any ideas how I can control this as he is washing himself all the time, and
making himself sick,
He is siamese and do find that he is sensitive to a lot of stuff.

Firstly you MUST visit the vets. He could have flea allergy or a number
of other problems which require veterinary treatment. If the problem is
due to allergies then the vet should be able to help you find out what
the problem is and work out how to avoid it.

Finally, he might also be over-grooming (especially if he is bored), and
my Havana (nearly all Siamese in his pedigree) is prone to dandruff at
this time of year. I find using a rubber 'brush' helps. However you
MUST visit the vets first. If the original vet can't help it would be
worth looking for a skin specialist.

How is the humidity in your house right now? My cats get dander in the
winter, because the air is soooo dry in here. We use small room
humidifiers & it helps a bit.
