Lexmark X73 works fine with XP

Well, I finally got hold of XP and loaded it up on the old laptop, then
hooked it up to the worthless old X73, followed the bouncing ball installing
it and VOILA the dang thing prints first time every time. Now I have to
take back 1/3 of the insults against Lexmark -- their Indian simulated tech
support still sucks, though.

Still I have no idea of why it never worked well with my Win98SE machine,
especially since it mentioned on the box that it is supposed to work with
Win98 on the box and doesn't mention XP.
Also, I remember reading lots of postings about how there is no XP driver
for the Lexmark X73. Especially puzzling since all I did was follow the
instructions from the CD and everything seems to work fine.
Lexmark still sucks in my book, though, for putting me thru the wringer with
the Win98SE SNAFU.
