Undocumented immigrants have long been in California cities.

They provide agricultural workers the state's farmers depend on
along with US citizens along with noncitizens with work visas.

No, he didn't, idiot. The legislature made the state a sanctuary
state. Which means no agency under the California constitution is
allowed to cooperate with federal immigration. At the same time no
agency is allowed to interfere with federal immigration. The
federal government runs the Mexican border and does arrest and
enforcement but without any state money.
> But not you: Get out.
As Newsom pointed out, the refugees were integrated into existing
immigrant and refugee support. None were moved anywhere without
their understanding and permission.

Since undocumented immigrants were in California before sanctuary
cities or state, no, DeSatan is full of shit. California was
dealing with the federal government's inability to control the
border. Cooperating with the feds led to increased crime as many
were too frightenned to come to police to report and testify.
Sanctuary meant a woman being beaten by a US citizen could report
him for prosecution without fear of retaliation by feds.

California has no jurisdiction over the Mexican border. Our
agriculture border stations have very little power and jurisdiction.

Nobody is upset over a few more refugees. We already have them.
People are upset over DeSatan's bigotry.

California has no control over Mexico border enforcement.

Sanctuary cities are dealing with law enforcement because the feds
don't control the border.

Newsom has no control over who enters the state and doesn't
pretend to.

Bonta is investigating it. If he decides a prosecutable crime has
occurred he can proceed to court.

If this goes to court, the defence can try to enter this as evidence.
> Newsom called DeSantis' move "sad and pathetic," bragging, "We mean
As others have pointed out, Newsom doesn't do prosecution. He is
allowed to do anger.

I really don't know the relevant California law. Feel free to cite
the relevant codes and sections.
> California will also make sure that it's a sanctuary city unless you
California is a sanctuary state which only applies to state
agencies cooperating with federal immigration. California has
different laws than other state, so consult a lawyer which
activities are illegal.

Why shouldn't California enforce its kidnapping law?

Many live with their relatives who are US citizens.

Like what? Rather than bland assertions, how about examples? How
does California have a say in this?
