hey everyone!
Im sorry to bother you because I think Im posting this in the wrong board but
it was all I could find. Anyway, I have a question for you. I work at a small
buissiness and recently the cash register (supposedly) came up short and my
boss said that I was responsible for it since it was (also supposedly) from my
shift. However when I asked her to simply show me where it was short and how she
knew it wasnt from her shift she said that she threw away the register info
from her shift and all she had was a print out of the entire day which proved
nothing. After much aurguing I quit and she told me she was going to take the
money from my check! I dont see how she can do this since she has no proof that
the money is from my shift and not hers! Is this legal? This is my first job so
Im not really sure what she can and cant do.....
