In the "good old days", this newsgroup would see over 400 messages per day.

BTW, you can't attach piccies to messages here, but there are plenty of sites like
Imageshack and Fickr that allow you to host images on their site and link to them here.

Yep, I used to spend a few hours a day just in this newsgroup.

alt.binaries.ozdebate. It's still there, I did a test post in it just then.

It didn't disappear, but there had been no posts for sometime - probably
longer than the retention time of most ISP news servers. So it seemed empty.

Yes, I did find it, originally I typed it into my newsgroup list and it
didn't come up, however once KP said it was still there I search a
little more thoroughly. :-)
