Aussie Teacher Thought Waits for Graduation, Still Busted for Lesbian Student Affair

The thing about Australia, they really hate to release the names
of their teachers involved in sexual relationships with their
students. This kind of discretion is out of a very different
era. Like before school teachers were regularly having sex with
their high school students. Not sure how rampant it is in
Australia versus the United States, but certainly naming names
of these teachers seems sensible to the general public safety.

Nevertheless, an unnamed female teacher in Queensland,
Australia, has been suspended of her teaching duties for a
lesbian relationship with a female student that didn’t become
sexual until after the girls graduation from school, but clearly
began romantically and emotionally over two or three years prior.

Queensland College of Teachers alleges the teacher was overly
familiar with the student, and assisted her with private issues,
through “challenging times’’.

The teacher twice spent time alone with the student in the
classroom, after school hours, it is alleged.

If the thinking here was, simply exchange sweet messages, visit
one another for tea and giggles, and wait until the younger’s
graduation from high school and all would be copacetic.
Apparently not so. All of those mushy gushy stuff between
teacher and her pupil over those years can easily be seen as
sexual grooming. Since, technically, and non-technically, it
totally was. Hence even though the sex per se was legal, the
teacher was still seen as having committed an educational no-no
and had her license put on indefinite hold pending further
investigation.

As an FYI to future teacher predators out there, yes, the
authorities are going to check the Facebook and social media
accounts of the student involved in the matter. You might be
discreet about your down low lesbian teacher student love
affair, but how good are teens are secrets these days? Exactly.
