Ripple has been my favorite Grateful Dead tune since
American Beauty came out.

"If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

You who choose to lead must follow,
But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home."

I almost had Njikkie acting human at one point, until Djirk

Mheh. Given the state of U.S. politics in aught eight, maybe
Djirk should consider moving his operaton across the pond. As
scary as it might be, he'd end up being on the relatively
'normal' end of the spectrum.

Talking of the good ole days... ever play with the WayBack machine, aka
www.archive.org? They claim to have stored just about every public
(non-password protected) webpage put on the Net in the last 15 years or
so. I've been wondering if they might have saved a copy of some of the
'fun' websites from back then, like the CoT's bar, and 2-Belo's
original afk-mn Webcenter

I'm still trying to find the original URL of the bar so I can try that,
but I did find the URL of the Webcenter when it was on the Japanese
server. I put that into the WayBack machine, and voila, the dead comes
back to life...
