I started getting wingdings in the status message field
in netscape navigator and also with mirosoft flight simulator.
How can I change it back? Thanks

Your trouble probably stems from erasing one or more of the original
Microsoft fonts. Never remove these fonts under any circumstances.
Removing these fonts will cause some software to display Wingdings in place
of readable letters. These fonts are:

Arial (True Type)
Arial Bold (True Type)
Arial Bold Italic (True Type)
Arial Italic (True Type)
Courier 10,12,15 (VGA res)
Courier New (True Type)
Courier New Bold (True Type)
Courier New Italic (True Type)
Modern (Plotter)
MS San Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
Ms Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
Roman (Plotter)
Script (Plotter)
small fonts (VGA res)
Symbol (True Type)
Symbol 9,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA res)
Times New Roman (True Type)
Times New Roman Bold (True Type)
Times New Roman Bold Italic (True Type)
Times New Roman Italic (True Type)
Wingdings (True Type)

This list was compilied under Windows 3.1 and some of these fonts probably
don't exist under Win95 (have had time to check), but if they are found
they shouldn't be erased.

I have somewhat of a similar problem. Upon running MS-Office 97 and
using bullets to list off items, the bullets (such as a check mark or
a black square...) appear ON-SCREEN, but when I try to actually PRINT
them on my HP-LaserJet 5L, they're nowhere to be found. It completely
doesn't print the bullets - just leaves blank space. I looked through
the options, and I'm not seeing anything. The only thing I can see as
a possibility is that of the "Bullets" font? Corrupted? But then
again, why is it displaying it on-screen, but not printing it then?

Go figure.
If anyone has any further experience with MS-Office 97 where they'd be
able to suggest something...anything, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for the help. -Rich

Out the modem, through the POP, down the T1, off the router, past the
frame-relay... nothing but Net.

Some fonts are only for the screen, some only for the printer, and still
others that are for both.
