Changing Volume ID on a hard drive

ID of a hard drive, but when I run the command I get an "access denied"
message. Does this program not work with Windows XP? Any suggestions would
be much appreciated!

You can easily do this from 'disk managment' that you will find at Start/My
computer(Right Click)/manage.
Right click on the drive then properties will allow you access.

association (which my four year old can do on his own).
