I get a message like "you have upgraded your operating system. Please
uninstall and reinstall and ensure that files required for
compatability are copied to your system"

Tried uninstall and reinstall but still the message.
BTW this was a clean instal of XP Prof.

just uninstall and reinstall like it it says. there are more files that need
to be loaded on xp then they was for me or 98.
