We Live For The One We Die For The One came up with this:

How do I delete an "undeletable" file?

Close all open programs. Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.
Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE. Go to the Processes tab and End
Process on Explorer.exe. Leave Task Manager open. Go back to the Command
Prompt window and change to the directory the undeletable file is located
in. At the command prompt type DEL <filename> where <filename> is the
file you wish to delete. Exit from the Command Prompt window. Go back to
Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the
GUI shell. Close Task Manager.

It means stop it! Everything will dissapear... Except your DOS emulation.
Delete in there! Windows shouldnt "have hold" of it anymore.

If thats really true, then delete it inside Nero... It might be easier this
way anyway.
If NON of that workd then boot from a boot disk floppy or the XP cd and
delete from the prompt.

Explorer itself was the one that prevented you from deleting it. The fields
you have selected to be displayed in Explorer are extracted from the file(s).
You can't delete the file until it has completed it... takes quite awhile.

It seems that anyone who takes your advice is buggered.

> It was a helpful suggestion.

Not if he doesn't have Nero it wasn't helpful, you daft twat. Besides, how
can Nero delete a file that is locked, you total fuckwit? Attempting to
delete any file in Nero that is already open will result in Nero issuing an
error message that tells you "You must close the file before proceeding."

You are a brain-dead fucktard and of no use to anyone on this planet. I
would have used the phrase "no use for anything", but maybe the maggots of
coffin flies can do something with you.

Only if hes a dummy.

> > It was a helpful suggestion.

No I am not daft.
Lots of people have nero.
And if not it can be downloaded.
As can many other "independent" programs that have some kind of file
manager.
The problem seems to be your IQ or need to be seen as "right" when you are
so obviously wrong.

Besides, how
> can Nero delete a file that is locked, you total fuckwit?

No.
But some files that are locked are not locked by windows, and even the
command prompt (and kill explorer) does not do it where Nero can - And I
have no idea why. But It works.

Attempting to
> delete any file in Nero that is already open will result in Nero issuing
an
> error message that tells you "You must close the file before proceeding."

Yep.
But sometimes they are due to other unknown factors, and stuff like too many
folders deep or letters, and not "locked"
Nero deletes these where XP cannot!

Idiots that cant argue the case any more always seem to resort to mindless
insults.

The evidence indicates the contrary.

That is quite true. You do not need to resort to insults to show people that
you are an idiot. You just need to post on usenet.

If it wasn't Explorer, the file may have been planted by some virus, hijacker,
