I want to set my XP machine to auto logon with the administrator account.

I understand this cannot be done using the XP user maintenace but that there
is a hidden program that runs the Windows 2000 user maintenace and allows
you to set the administrator account to logon automatically on startup - any
ideas where to find or how to run

Get TweakUI for XP from Microsoft... \Logon\Autologon has it.

If you are the only user, just delete all other users and don't have a
pasword on the admin account. If you are not the only user, get TweakUI.

See "How to Configure Windows XP to Automatically Log On a User
Account"

ACtually you dont need to do this .. set up your standard user account and
give this account administartot privileges..
then set up this user account to be the one that auto logons. thats how my
system works (with only one user).
