If you cannot see the DVD in Windows Explorer then how are you going to
copy the pictures to your hard drive?

I can see the drive in explorer .... but when I right click on it and
select explore ..explore jumps to my desktop.

I see in forums that it is a common problem ... so I am working on
suggestions

Ok .. got it sorted .... to explore the contents of my DVD in the DVD
drive .... I had to change the drive letter of the DVD drive.
In my instance, I changed it from E to F .. bingo :-)

Glad you got it fixed...

It's always something, isn't it?

If it were nothing there would be no problem to resolve in the first place.

I'm glad you got it fixed too but that doesn't explain WHY you needed to do
that.
What drive letter did it have previously?
