I have used my XP installation for about 1 1/4 years now. It is slow to boot
up and there are more processes running than ever.

Is there anyway of cleaning it up appart from reinstalling? I'm getting low
on disc space so a lot of deletion has to go on. I am aware that more
deletions(uninstall) are not clean even with the correct uninstaller. Can
anyone recommend a good XP cleaner?

Any replies appreciated

Mark

That's an open invitation for me to tell you to fuck right off and die.
Alternatively...

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup

Follow that with...

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter

Start out by cleaning up your Sent Items and Deleted Items folders in OE.
In IE, delete your History, Temp Internet Files, and Cookies. Clean out
your Recycle Bin. Open my computer, right click on your hard drive and
select properties, click clean disk.

Start> Run> type msconfig click the StartUp Tab uncheck start up
items that you don't need. Do not disable you antivirus or firewall!
But most everything else can be diabled. Reboot.

Then defrag.

Would'nt hurt to do this once a month.
