In most case it is caused by heat, bigger cooler on CPU solves this problem

You can disable the auto reboot option and that way you might get a read on
what is causing the crash. Right click My Computer and select
Properties->Advance Tab->Start-up & Recovery section->Settings Button.
Uncheck the box to auto restart. You should get a Blue Screen with some info
that may or may not be useful. The main hardware related causes for
spontaneous reboots are
Flaky Ram
Overclocking
Over heating
Powersupply

You fucking pathetic piece of shit.

[The mention of kadaitcha tends to strike fear into the hearts of
many Aboriginal people. In fact, Justice Zelling observed that a
threat of use of kadaitcha would produce an immediate
superstitious panic in the mind of the person threatened. The
defendant "was put literally in fear for his life".]

If it happens only since the CPU change then there's your problem. Maybe it
needs a bit more voltage, maybe it needs less. Maybe you fucked it. Whatever
it is, it has nothing to do with XP, you stupid fuck.

I had that problem once and after a lot of searching for answers and
getting no where I found the problem to be a bad power plug connection to
the hard drive, swaped it with a spare one and all was well again.
worth a check nothing to lose.
