Scanner in XP

Hi,

I have an HP Scanjet 3200c. It doesn't work in XP, although HP
promised support and drivers when XP is officially released. Anyone
tried installing it in ME or 98 and then upgrading? Does it work then?
I heard from someone that it does.

I have a ScanJet 3300c and it doesn't work either, I tried to install and
re-install it several times, but it don't work. Then I tried it on my
brothers
computer. Which is running the same copy of XP, I plugged it in and XP
said NEW SOFTWARE FOUND, he installed it automaticly and it works.
Very strange.

You can try updating your drivers from the Windows XP update site, there
are new drivers! Have a try!

hi, thanks...went to the winxp site...but there is only one update,
and that is for the java virtual machine...where are the driver
updates?

I have the same problem. I am using HP Scanjean 2100c and it worked fine..
ONCE.. I restarted my PC.. and it just wont work. Says its not there. I
can't even add it for some reason.

Pc Specs: 192mb Ram, Intel 700, 20gb HDD, 512k Cable Modem.

Any ideas?

well, i guess we just have to wait and see. HP does promise driver
support with the official release of XP...lets wait till oct 25 and
see...i havent been able to run it either...ever...tried once but got
a blue screen (and on an NT/XP system, thats fatal)...
