When booting up, for a couple seconds there is a message saying 'autochk.exe
not found'- however, it continues to boot, and there don't seem to be any
adverse reactions to it. In fact, autochk.exe is where it is supposed to
be, and it runs fine when done manually.

I think this all started when I was fooling around with Partition Magic,
which I no longer have. What can I do to fix this problem?

Sounds like your system wants to run chkdsk for some reason. You should
check your system environment and make sure the folder with autochk is in
the path statement.
