I've just upgraded to XP Pro from Win98 and my DVD soft ware (SoftDVD3) is
incompatible and cannot be upgraded from the free upgrade site (only version
4 and above can be upgraded).

It would be appreciated if someone could advise if there is a free upgrade
available and, if so, point me to the appropriate site.

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Don't know about an upgrade, but you can try XP's DVD player.
Run: dvdplay

Get Power DVD 4-XP from Morpheus, it's only 8mb download and is simply the
best DVD Software Player - with TRU-SOUND enabled must be heard to be
believed. Completely demolishes the competition...

There is also FreeDVD player at Tucows. This registry hack is supposed to

The dvd player is in XP, and some free decoders are out there. But MS has
a decoder package for sale. $$

| Isn't the dvd pack a separate download?
