They should have pulled the plug on GNOME last year when it was
obvious that kde was a better system, still a shit Linux system, but
better than the shittier system GNOME.
In standard Linux LOSER fashion they are now begging for money, just
like Mandrake Linux is doing. Good luck because the cheap SOB Linux
users think everything should be free which is why Linux companies are
failing by the dozens.
Let's all write letters to Gnome and ask them to have mercy and pull
the plug now.
Who needs 20 different window managers for Linux especially when they
all suck?

KDE is great for some applications, but there are major problems with it.
Qt is a great toolkit, but the KDE people do not run it and it is very
bloated. Also, compiling KDE code is insane. I hate developing in KDE
mainly because of the problems of Qt. GTK is an excellent toolkit.

The "competition" between KDE and Gnome is working out great.
We've got two great window managers to choose from, plus a bunch of
nimbler alternatives.
We really like how the competition is spurring Microsoft to snatch the
features of Gnome and KDE to try to make XP a little more palatable.
