XPpro with Asus P2B mobo ?

Hi,
I'm trying to install XP on my computer but it freezes during the process at
34 min left.
Someone told me that XP couldn't work P2b mobos. Is it right ?? (Bios
revision 1012)
If you have the same mobo, working with XP, please let me know your BIOS
settings !!!!

My home machine is a P2B-D, Dual 550's, 512MB, a couple hard drives, an Elsa
Erazor X2 video card. XP Pro works great. No problems on the install
whatsoever. BIOS setting are pretty standard with 256 AGP Aperature, SMART
off, all ports enabled. 1012 is the version.
