Hello..
I have a TNT2...I am running Windows XP professional. Its been a kind
of nightmarish experience while playing 3d games with XP, which used
to run fine on ME. It always gives a blue screen in a game..the STOP
error...and then it dumps my memory and then restarts. Then, after
restarting, it tells me that "the card was unable to complete a
drawing operation". I have a friend who has the same problem but its
just that he observes it randomly, not while playing games. Another
friend also has a problem.

I want to know, is it just my system or do a lot of people have a
problem..Anyone with an nVidia card and XP please reply to this post
and tell me if they are experiencing any problems with their card. I
am a power user, and have used every trick and method in the
world...to get it to run..from tweaking to the latest drivers to what
not...

Also, if you havent played many 3d games with your system or have not
tested it with a utility such as 3d mark 2001...please do not post
telling me that your system is fine. As the system is fine and is
running normally doing "normal" tasks.

Thanks in Advance. :)

I have the Elsa Gladiac gforce 2 ulta. After installing the OS I installed
what I thought were the most recent detenator drivers. It did NOT go well
and left me with a 480 X 640 8 bit screen. I then dl'd newer drivers.
These left me with a safe mode boot after it totally kicked me out. After I
got back in I re-installed the newer drivers again figuring I had nothing to
loose. This time it worked and all is well. This is some tricky stuff for
sure.

Hi,

I'm using a Creative GeForce 2 MX and I have the same problem, only in 3D
games, Unreal Tournament's a shocker and NFL 2002. I dont get BSD's just the
system resets and then it tell me it was my graphics driver.

I'm using the 23.12 Detenator drivers from Windows Update.

I have a Geeforce 2 MX. 21.83 Detonators are the only drivers that don't
result in BSODs. However, those drivers work perfectly.

As noted by Chris Holden, the 21.83 drivers for your nvidia tnt2 card
will more than likely fix the problem. I was suffering blue screens,
and quirky graphics in some 3d games - the 21.83 drivers have appeared
to solve all my problems..

I have installed the 23.81 drivers...the 23.12
drivers...27.10...27.42...27.30.....12.41...every driver ever
released!! :) hehe, the result..the same..
btw, i have noticed that on xp's own driver the games take a little
longer to crash..so i use that...

i have kept coming back to the original driver...which is also
unstable as hell :)

All work well in games eg time demo 1in Q3 1024 res and all else at maximum
give 90 f.p.s 3Dmark2001 is 7500. BTW this is using the default settings
in the GeForce 3. I suspect that the stability is partly due to having a
2GHz P4 on an Intel 850MV board with 512 MB RAMBUS RAM

I have a TNT2 Pro, and I also have had winxp pro on my computer (intel
pentium3 667mhz, and 128 mb ram). I dont have the same problems that you
have with 3d games, but I had the problem that my framerate was really low,
something that I didnt have with win98. I installed a refresh rate fix tool
for nvidia, but this didnt help...
I also installed tweakxp, but didnt help...
I dont know what the problem is, but maybe my system is too weak to run
winxp.

i think thats it :)
i have to get myself a new comp!! :)
i am getting one in march..i think i can handle it until then...
tho it would have been great if i had been able to figure out the
prob...
umm...could it be that the hardware is damaged? i mean, the card
itself? would it behave like this?

i installed tweakxp and told it to "tweak" my graphics card....i
selected the right card tho....does anyone think this might have
ruined the card? because, now i think of it...i think thats about the
time when the problems started...

btw...XP runs a lot faster than 9x on ANY system...so u have nothing
to worry about :)
guess what system i am running it on? :)
a p-II 233 mmx... :)
lol...i am getting a new one in march....
btw, i have 256 mb ram...2 hdds totalling 20gb...
a 32 mb video card (which does not work :( )
and all the damn peripherals i could find!! :)

and its SOO much faster than 9x ever was...even the refresh rate in
games (when they play, which is about for 10 seconds) is soo good!

Go to the nVidia site http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows2000 type
the driver you want into the search box and Go. You can get any driver you
want.
BTW, I'm using 21.83 and not having problems -- my earlier tongue-in-cheek
smart-assed comment (below) was because you listed all the drivers you had
tried but it wasn't in the list. I do read that 23.11 is working for a lot of
people though. Luck!
