Hi,

I run on Windows XP, IE 6.xx. What is the best software for those pesky
popups?

Thanks!
Russ

I always thought that x10 did a good job of developing Pop Up software, but
the Porn sites seem to have the best now.

This is the one answer I know......

Whichever program you find after ADWARE........there must be about a couple
a hundred of spy-ware products out there, because every person seems to have
their own favorite.......I use "Pest Patrol",..........

But pop-ups, are now in your regular anti-virus, firewall, internet security
programs,
..............but the bottom line is, it's a never ending puzzle trying to
configure and keep updated all the software SECURITY applications, running
in harmony and compatible with your operating system.

I recommend .....GAZWAD......I gotta goe,........Service call,.....

and while we're at it, does anyone know of a free popup BLOCKER (get it
right for relic) that will still allow me to access First Direct Bank (coz
when you click LogOn, a popup window appears..... but not if you have a
popup blocker...!!)

Thanks

Try Pop-Up Stopper from www.panicware.com. Free, and can be overridden by
just holding the Control key when you click on a link that you need the popup
window to appear.

Have been using PopupStopper for about 2 years
and work 99.9/% of time. Also a freebie. Tried
others, but keep coming back to this one.

I recommend Symantec's Norton Internet Security. It includes Antivirus,
CleanSweep (if I am correct), but most importantly a popup blocker that is
so powerful you can creat individual settings for individual sites. Plus
it's by symantec so you get frequent updates.
