Just bought this Hauppage card, but cannot get it to run in XP. I have
read the previous posts on this group, but I appear to have a
different problem. My machine is this:
Pentium 4 1.7GHz
GeForce 4 MX460 (MyVivo)
Fortissimo II soundcard
I downloaded the new drivers (WDM331_20112) and the WinTV2000
programme from the Hauppauge website and followed the instructions to
the letter.
I installed the drivers and rebooted. When it had rebooted, XP
recognised the Video Controller, but no Digital Signature window
popped up. It just said that it couldn't recognise what the device was
and did I want to search the Internet. I said no, and clicked Finish,
which called up the Audio Controller installation which installed
perfectly, with the Digital Signature window.
I tried to install the Video controller manually through Control
Panel, and although I thought it had worked, when I loaded up
WinTV2000, the window was totally black, with perfect audio! To make
matters more frustrating, when I shut the programme down, the audio
carried on, only switching off when I rebooted.
Please someone help, this is another episode in a rather tiring TV
Card saga (I previously bought the Leadtek TV card which wouldn't work
at all!)
Thanks in advance for any help given.
Chris

This happens with my system when using my Matrox card.
I have to use the Primary mode changer to 'Force Primary'.
