I'm currently using the XP folder view which I generally like
("View as slide show" for example). However, I prefer to view details
instead of icons due to the amount of photographs I have.

In Windows 98's detailed view you could select a file and a
preview would appear in the left-hand pane. However, this doesn't
happen under XP.

Is there a a way to do this under XP? I wouldn't even mind a
film-strip like way, if only the file view itself would appear as
"details"

Thanks,
Chris

this is possible, click on the p;ic you want to preview then on the left bar
down the bottom there is a drop down box called details, drop down the box
and there it is.
