[OT] - i2p, FreeNet-core (ex Locutus)

sb here owns some FreeNet site ?
What perspectives do you foresee for the future ?

BTW, I've managed to install the daemon for FreeNet (Fproxy)
that allows exploration with Firefox directly, but I still
strieve to get i2p working. The daemon is running, but I
evidently fail to configure the proxy manually and it timeouts.

I see the two projects had been frozen to 2010-2012, even if
FreeNet is spurring a new version just these days.

What other experimental free networks are you aware of ?
What do you deem more viable ? (an hard question !!!).

If sb uses one or more to even a small extent, pls share
with me your experience
