simple way to disable Secure Boot in UEFI in Windows 8

looking for some clear instruction i can copy/paste/save for later for

Depends on the make/model of your device, but almost all through the bios.

You can also check with an elevated powershell if it's active by running:
Confirm-SecureBootUEFI.

It will either return True, False, or cmdlet not supported.
