kopete and gmail

I'm trying to set up kopete to use a gmail account, so i chose Jabber in
the list and entered the whole email id and put the password and checked
all necessary as said in the handbook but that never connects. it says:
(X)"There was a connection error: Operation is not supported."

You know kopete is a IM and not a mail client?
You need to use your account settings, if you don't have a jabber acount, then
you need to create one.

yes, i finally got it working. actually in the handbook of kopete they say
either gmail.com or talk.google.com will fit as server while actually only
talk.google.com is working.
