Anyone heard or used Storm Linux? The company went under, but I managed
to snag a copy of their Linux OS... I do not know what to do with it...
I mean I want to use Linux, and their version seems really stable and
fast.

Any suggestions? (worried about getting help since the company went
under)

thanks,
Shane

I tried storm a version ago and it was very flaky, sorta like corel. If you want
support and the company went under, then why are you even considering Storm? Go
for suse or red hat or mandrake

Upgrade to Debian and get copious support on the debian-user mailing list
or commercial support from one of the Debian consultants. Storm is a
Debian derivative.

See <www.debian.org>.

If I remember rightly, storm linux is a debian derived distribution. some of
the .deb files should be usable to update the system at a later date.

As one of my systems currently runs this, I see no problem with running it
now.

of course, later on you might want to switch to a different distribution
which matches your needs better, once you have figured out what those needs
are.
