My Linspire distro has that available, so the Freespire should also.

What is emerge, is that a distro? Never heard of that command or package
manager if that is what it is.

All 3? (cinelerra, kino, avidemux?)
I will try that method though the second link is broken on that how-to,
but I might be able to find that .deb somewhere else. I do have cinelerra
on my ubuntu 6.10 edgy eft system (I installed using 6.06 deb file), it is
just buggy, so maybe the install method at link you gave will work without
bugs.
The name of the distribution was included at the bottom of the pasted
text - Gentoo.

With std optional plf & contrib sources added to urpmi DB, Mandriva has them
all.

I might just have to put Mandriva back on a partition, I used Mandriva for
several years, switched to Ubuntu this past year (outstanding USB
recognition, and no ugly gold stars and penguins like Mandriva has). Yes I
recall installing cinelerra no problem in Mandriva with urpmi.
SUSE has what you want, and no gold stars or penguins. Just a thought. ;)
