Narcissism:
1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance and exaggerates achievements
and talents.
2. Dreams of unlimited power, success, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. Believes he or she is special and unique and can only be understood by,
or should associate with, other special or high-status people or
institutions.
4. Requires excessive admiration.
5. Unreasonably expects special, favorable treatment or compliance with
his or her wishes.
6. Exploits and takes advantage of others to achieve personal ends.
7. Lacks empathy for the feelings and needs of others.
8. Envies others or believes they’re envious of him or her.
9. Has arrogant behaviors or attitudes.

Hard to believe that you can post that, yet not see whom it
blatantly reminds 80% of Americans of and matches up perfectly with.

Arlen Holder wrote a very long subject.

What should we do about those, or rather that /one/ wayward individual -
who never learned how to create a terse subject in the form of a brief
'title' to succinctly characterize the content of his message body.

The long subject's content belongs in the message body, not the subject.

And, what does your long subject content have to do w/ a.o.l?

What each individual newsgroup reader can do about those messages he
doesn't wish to read is ignore them, either 'mentally' or by using
reader filters to aid him in ignoring, either by marking them read or
hiding them from his vision.

Killfile?

Has saved me a fair bit of heartache over the last few months (although
I do still read those of you who respond to said child; and sometimes do
pipe up, like now).

You'd think with all the spouting off about adding value to Usenet, he'd
have at least read RFC1855 (i.e. "Netiquette").

Yes, but everyone who is willing to follow this advice did so long
ago. The people who are still reading and replying are doing so because
they want to.

I killfile all the people who won’t stop replying to him, too (usually
for just a month at a time, but they go back in quickly...)

And as always you expect others to do the work for you.

> ... about the worthless pieces of shit on a.o.l who have never

Thats just a lot of wishfull thinking (you have no way of knowing), a
demonisation by which you tell yourself that you have the right to do
to/with them whatever you wish.

Also, you have claimed that about people who have a /proven/ professional
track record (and where trying to help you, just like they have others).
And that ofcourse devalues your above claim/statement greatly - pretty-much
into nothingness (or even below).

And then there is that "ever authored a thread of value". Thats an
interresting one. You see, that would mean that only the people who start
threads with questions (that get answered) can be of (any) value, and all
the people who do /not/ start threads but instead are the ones that actually
answer/solve those question are just "worthless pieces of shit". I must
say, thats a rather interresting POV. Especially as you heavily depend on
that latter group... :-)

> And yet, they incessantly shit on those that do.

Thats two-for-one claim. The first that what we are trying to do is to shit
on you, and the second that you are posting is actually something of value.
Nether of which seems to be true over any kind of range.

But to answer your question:

Normally the group response is to shun such people.

Which is pretty-much what is happening to you ...

As long as your response to info you don't like to hear is to personally
attack people and claim stuff about them you have no reasonable way of
knowing (and ofcourse never provide proof for any of it) that is what will
happen, no matter where you go..

There is an old joke about a guy in a car listening to the radio hearing the
police warn that there is a ghost rider on his road, not to overtake and
stay on the right. His thought ? "What do you mean just one ? There are
/tens/ of them here!"

You are that guy.

Hi Mike,

Between you and me, the reason for the clarity in the subject line is that
there are a thousand times more worthless pieces of shit children on Usenet
than there are actual purposefully helpful adults, where these worthless
pieces of shit listed below infest any thread that attempts to add value.

Why do these worthless pieces of shit listed below infest threads?
o I don't know why.

I suspect a few reasons, such as they _hate_ that they, themselves, utterly
lack any adult capacity whatsoever to add value, e.g., Rene Lamontagne's:
"*Why should I ever care about adding adult value, twit*"
clearly stated opinion of why _he_ is on Usenet.

These worthless pieces of shit like Rene Lamontagne or Dan Purgert are here
solely for their childish amusement as far as I can tell from what they
post.

Each of them has _never_ even once in the entire history of Usenet ever
posted a thread of any on-topic technical value (although I noticed Rene
attempted to do so just this week, to his credit).

And yet, these worthless pieces of shit listed below incessantly shit on
those who do.

A classic game these worthless pieces of shit like nospam play is they
instantly deny all facts and just as instantly they fabricate fantastic
functionality on their platform of choice which simply doesn't exist.

If you are incredulous, rest assured I can provide plenty of cites showing
these worthless pieces of shit incessantly send poor unsuspecting users on
doomed-to-fail wild-goose chases, where nospam and Jolly Roger and Lewis
are masters at their craft.

If you ask nospam if iOS can do something, he _instantly_ (without even
reading the cites) claims wholly fabricated functionality for iOS that
simply doesn't exist, and folks like Alan Baker instantly brazenly claim
that all functionality you want is a lie by liars, and others like Lewis or
Jolly Roger will instantly claim that nobody wants that functionality
anyway.

It's sickening how these children play, where all three of the ngs in this
thread are affected, e.g., Android has Carlos E.R., Frank Slootweg and
Poutnik playing their silly childish games, while iOS has the
aforementioned nospam and Jolly Roger and Lewis, for example, and Windows
has not only the aforementioned Rene and Purgert worthless pieces of shit
but plenty more like Wolffan & Char Jackson and Panthera Tigris Altaica.

Hence, I have to write the subject and original post to anticipate the
idiotically childish silly games these worthless pieces of shit love to
play, where it's clear to me they're on Usenet purely for their own
amusement, where none of them has a purposefully helpful intent, ever.

Oh Boy!

Einstein said not to commit to memory anything you can look up. It
clutters the mind.

In your case, it is stupid to "archive" posts locally since they
are ALL available online PERMANENTLY. In other words... You are
STUPID, boy.

All the crybaby horseshit in the world, regardless of you thinking
you worded it consicely or not, is meaningless.

Yet here YOU are spewing ANOTHER 145 lines of CRAP that NOT ONE
SOUL WILL EVER READ.

Look, CHILD... it is not needed. AND it serves exactly ZERO
purpose.

Your reaction could not be more immature if you actually went to a
psychologist and spent time crafting it up.

Sheesh. Move on with your life, idiot. It is NOT that tragic.
You do more damage to your own brain pitching your pathetic little
Usenet fits than pretty much anything else in your life. Unless you
have some other stupid shit you pull somewhere else in life. GROW
UP!

Aw, you SWEETIE, you!

Gosh, I guess you really DO love me since you just won't leave me
alone. If this were the real world I'd think you were stalking me and
make a quick but mostly and VERY painful end of you.

As this is just online and you are as toothless as anyone else, then I
am reduced to only showing you for the truly despicable excuse for a
human that you are.

Since this is such an easy to accomplish task and SO MUCH FUN I will
undertake it right away.

Let's start with these quotes from missives past:

Here's one wherein you demonstrate pretty unequivocally that you have
absolutely no honor:
----------
In :
Message-ID: <q4h633$rnh$1...@news.mixmin.net>
you said, "I formally now leave this thread."

You've posted to this thread AT LEAST 6 (six) times since.

Liar.

You, "sir," are a being of no honor.
----------

Yep, that's you in a nut's hell.
Of course, there is the ongoing and totally amusing to the rest of
Usenet 'discussion' as to whether you are a liar or not. I tend to
believe you are since you posted this:

Here's one in which you prove fairly conclusively that you are a
low-bred, debased, and ignoble liar:
----------
You claim:
"I have likely written over ten thousand tutorials, where at my last
company, I wrote over five thousand alone. On the Internet, I don't know
how many I have, but if you assume that I write one a day sometimes,
and at least one a week, I have many thousands "
----------

Then, being the great guy I really am, I asked you for a list of
your theoretical tutorials and gave you a chance to own your past
contemptible behavior:

Can He Do / Be Right:
----------
As usual, I would like to see the linked list. Until that happens I
still decry you for a liar.

Of course, if you do supply it I will be a most courteous and humbly
apologetic man. Wouldn't you just love to see that? It'll happen if
only you supply the linked list of TEN THOUSAND tutorials that you've
supposedly written[1].

Seriously, I've known several actual writers who produce copious
amounts of for-profit text and each and every one keeps a list of, not
only publications, all their written material. Aren't you a
serious writer? Where's your list?

C'mon, an honest man would either pony up that list gladly or accept
and admit to being a liar and having no list or any idea as to the
number written.

Which will it be, or are you also duplicitous and conniving?

My bet is on your being and exposing yourself to be a duplicitous and
conniving liar by once again NOT showing that linked list.

A lie of omission is just as much a lie as one of commission.
----------

Is he A Thief:

----------
You certainly are one fetid, detestable, low-down, pathetic, and petty
excuse for a real man, aren't you? (no need to answer; the question is
rhetorical as that knowledge is wide-spread and everywhere
readily acknowledged)

Those qualities, though are easy to discern (even for the children whom
you seem to cherish (with quite possibly inappropriate 'interest') or
the low-mentality people of whom you seem to be one (and seem, moreover,
to be one of the lower mentality ones, might I add?)) in your every
post, whether or not you are dissing on your large and ever-growing
'enemies' list (on which we are each and all proud to be) or just
people in general who see your ignominious and quite shameless ploy to
garner, no let's call it, "steal," STEAL the work of others and present
it as your own.
----------

Which, of course, points out how egregious, disreputable, rebarbative,
and loathsome an example of the worst of us (and I hesitate to include
the rest of us in the same grouping as you) you actually are.

In conclusion, let me just reiterate what I said once before and again
offer the chance for you to now become the man you have always wished
you could someday hope (however vainly and forlornly) to be:

Can he Man Up:
----------
Each time you sidestep or ignore the disclosing of your lies you show
yourself to be the lying duplicitous idiot that you are, Arlene Holdout.

Here, once again, is a pointer to the biggest lie I know of that you've
so far told:
Message-ID: <po4626$vpu$1...@news.mixmin.net>
You know the one; it's where you said that you've written TEN THOUSAND
tutorials.

Shut me up, Horlew, merely by showing that searchable list. Hell, just
show the list.

The instant that you show a viable list of TEN THOUSAND tutorials that
YOU have written I will shut up about it, I guarantee and promise.

Be a man and 'fess up to being a liar otherwise.

Failing to do either, you are just and only a liar. ...and not much of
a man, either.

You want it explained ?

The joke consists outof a person not being able to weigh possibilities and
than come to a logical conclusion.

Instead the guy is stuck on himself, /ofcourse/ not doing anything wrong,
and thus the others must be - no matter how many of them there are.

Granted, a bid of a sad joke.

Sometimes the subject is interesting to us - till he goes up in a tantrum.

In Thunderbird you can automatically filter any thread or subthread he
starts, without having to list those of us that sometimes respond.

Because it's fun to see you get all hot under the collar about something
so unimportant.

I don't "infest" all threads, just yours.

Hi Ken Hart,

We're different in that you're on Usenet merely for childish amusement.
o I'm here to add value, gain value, and disseminate that added value.

While I've added value so many times that you trolls _hate_ that fact, as a
temporal example, this one post, from me, just today, added more value to
Usenet than you've ever added to this newsgroup in your entire life, IMHO.
o Script to set the system timezone randomly to foil fingerprinting

> And as always you expect others to do the work for you.

For the permanent Usenet record, this thread opened two days ago
_perfectly_ shows how people like Rudy Wieser prove to always post sans any
purposefully helpful intent, and, as a result, they prove to be the
worthless pieces of shit that add _negative_ value to Usenet in every post.

That's not even an ad hominem attack - it's simply a statement of fact
which is _easily_ proven in this simple verifiable timeline outlined below:

1. I researched the problem and failed at a batch coding solution.
2. I opened this thread on April 14th, 2020 asking for batch coding help.
3. Almost immediately, Rudy Wieser posted a childish worthless attack.
4. I ignored Rudy's post as all his posts are purposefully unhelpful.
5. A batch coding solution came immediately thereafter from someone else.
6. I tested & improved on that solution & gave back so all benefit.
7. A further improved coding solution resulted soon thereafter.
8. Again, I tested, improved, and gave back for a general purpose solution.

For the permanent record, all adults will notice that Rudy Wieser proved in
that thread, exactly who is is, why he's here, and what his value is.
o negative value (i.e., Rudy proved to be a worthless piece of shit, again)

And I proved mine, e.g., this is what Rudy can't possibly contribute:
o <https://i.postimg.cc/J0mLXN73/tz02.jpg>
o <https://i.postimg.cc/5NLJCznK/tz03.jpg>
o <https://i.postimg.cc/Gh62bnq0/tz04.jpg>
etc.

Hi Sea,

Take a look at these recent uploads for a second, if you can:
o <https://i.postimg.cc/TPRhWnsQ/tire09.jpg>
o <http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=7906618app18_01.jpg>
o <https://i.postimg.cc/9f6KJx4f/clock02.jpg>
o <https://i.postimg.cc/RCn2h5FM/webdav01.jpg>
etc.

We're different, Sea, in that you're on Usenet merely for your amusement.
o I'm here to add value, gain value, and disseminate that added value.

You're here to play your silly childish games, Sea.

While I've added value so many times that worthless pieces of shit trolls
like Sea _hate_ the fact that they can't ever add value.

On any topic.

For the permanent Usenet record, as just one recent example, this one
thread this week added more value to Usenet than Sea has ever added in his
entire lifetime.
o Tutorial: How to connect Android to Windows as a drive letter
over a Wi-Fi LAN for free simple reliable bidirectional copy
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mobile.android/9Lu2_dPsu6o>

That's simply a fact about Sea that he, himself, hates, because he is
incapable of ever adding value to any thread ever posted on Usenet.
o We easily proved that in spades in the Dan Purgert thread, in fact.

This goal of adding value to every thread extends well past just Linux.

For example, I've written tutorials galore on how to fix automobiles, e.g.,
how to replace a clutch, or cooling system, or brakes, or even this recent
one from last week on how to mount & balance your own tires at home.
o Questions about mounting & balancing new LT tires on new steel rims
at home (match mounting marks, red dots, yellow dots, & spacers)
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/rec.autos.tech/J5-7TxdDpBw>

The _huge_ difference between me and those worthless pieces of shit like
Sea always proves to be is in what our intentions are on being on Usenet.

Worthless pieces of shit like Sea have zero intention of adding any value.
o They're on Usenet merely for their own childish amusement.

And every single post from worthless pieces of shit like Sea prove that.

BTW, notice how _polite_ and _helpful_ people are on that thread?
o Hint: The proven worthless pieces of shit like Sea aren't on it.
