Dear sir/madam,
I am trying to install linux. After I use scsinet1 for the 1.44bootdisk,
I can login into the system. However, when I try to fdisk my scsi harddisk,
it cannot open /dev/sda. Why ? Can you help me ? *emergency*
My configuration : PCI-motherboard, Scsi-harddsks, IDE Sony-Atapi CD-ROM
Thank you very much.

Post how you start fdisk, and the exact error message(s) fdisk gives,
then maybe we can help.

When you boot your SCSI kernel should recognize your /dev/sda disk.
If it doesn't ;

- Make sure your kenel supports SCSI.
- Checkout the SCSI HOWTO at ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/
- run fdisk on your SCSI then setup to create a linux file system.
- You have a good SCSI cable.
- Make sure your controller and disk are terminated properly.

If it's a cheapo Pseudo SCSI controller it may not work - the SCSI HOWTO
will tell you. I have an Adaptec 1542Cf - it works fine.
