How do you get rid of that stupid warning about sig length?

I found it in Knode, but I can't find it in Pan. Does anyone know how to
disable this?

Thanks for the reply. I may check out the source option. It's not like
my sig was -huge- or anything...it's not much larger than yours.

True. However, you sugnature is still in violation of RFC 1855

RFC 1855
Netiquette Guidelines
http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html

RFC1855 states that your signature (if you use one) should be only 4 lines
in length, whereas, your signature

[ begin Signature]

[end signature ]

is 5 lines in length. Thus, why PAN bitches at you about it not conforming
to the Usenet standards. Chop a single line out of that (such as your name)
and PAN will no longer complain about your sig length again. =)

What *I* find utterly amusing is the fact that your problems center around not
conforming to Usenet standards, so you asked the very same people that your
signature complains about for help in conforming with Usenet standards.

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

That's funny.

No offense Joseph, but if you can't do something as simple as read an RFC
for Usenet compliance, you certainly are not qualified enough to "modify"
the original source code to change it so you can continue to break the
standards put forth in RFC1855, and still expect that program to work.

Which is easier? Reading the RFC and changing a single line to comply,
or modifying the source code so you can have one more line without complaints?

Drop the newbie "You guys owe me" attitude and you'll find that many of us
are quite willing to help, providing you don't act like an asshole and piss
everyone off.

Line count 4

Not part of Signature as defined by RFC 1855, take the time to read it and
understand it.

Because your reader/the posters client wrapped the text due to
the quoting. Read one of +Chiron+'s signatures before stating something so
stupid as that. A line in most readers are 80 chars iirc.

[-huge trimming which should have been done by previous poster-]

Indeed, and that should never happen in a regular post, since signatures
shouldn't be quoted anyway.

You must be the most annoying and dumbest person I have ever seen on
usenet (and I've seen windows advocacy groups). Please read up on some
usenet mannors and standards. How about lay that fucking top-posting
aside? And stop quoting hundreds of lines just to say something that no
one actually cares about, or understands for that sake? Get a grip, or
slip down to warmer places..

pgp signatures don't count as part of the .sig. and neither does the
'-- ' at the start of the sig.
