I have Puppy Linux installed on my harddrive, and it has a SAVE FILE. I
dont know how many times I've gone to Osmo Calendar, then settings, and
set it to 12 hour time, rather than the default 24 hour (military time).
Yet, the time shown on the screen (bottom right) always shows 24 hours
time, such as 14:45. Why wont this change as I set it?
Thanks

I'm looking at my Precise 5.7.1 retro.

The Osmo calendar condition is not the same setting as the clock in the
tray which belongs to Joe's Window Manager.

You need to change the clock format line in the file:

Down at the bottom there is a clock format section which default
condition on mine is

%H%M

plus other syntax elements and minixcal

Reading in the joewing.net site about JWM settings, he refers to a
manual for strftime.

http://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/strftime.3.html

That entry shows that %H is 24-hour time while %I is 12 hour time.

So (I would think) you would change your clock format in that file to %I:%M.

BUT

There is a discussion here
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=73168

... in which the respondent suggested that the elements %H:%M be removed
in favor of just leaving the minixcal element.

So, I'm not sure if my %I:%M which actually looks like

<Clock format="%I:%M">minixcal</Clock>

or

<Clock format=>minixcal</Clock>

is correct.

One more time; fix the typo

/.jvmrc/.jwmrc/

/root/.jwmrc-tray

jwm for Joe's Window Manager and rc for configuration file, apparently
derived from runcom or run command according to the wiki and jargon file.
