Reading installed packages...

The following 15 items are locked and will not be changed by any action:
Available:
kwalletd5-lang kwallet-devel kwallet-devel-32bit kwalletmanager5
kwalletmanager5-lang kwallet-tools
kwallet-tools-lang libkwalletbackend5-5-32bit libsvn_auth_kwallet-1-0
pam_kwallet pam_kwallet-32bit
pam_kwallet-common remmina-plugin-kwallet signon-kwallet-extension
Installed:
xeyes

I get the above, it's all as I want it to be: I want no password stored
on disk ever at all, and upgrading xeyes breaks my setup of it. But why
are the FOLLOWING packages rejected? None of them are tabooed or locked
(if installed).

The following 54 package updates will NOT be installed:
abiword adwaita-qt5 chromium-uget-integrator deja-dup deja-dup-lang
easytag easytag-lang firefox-uget-integrator gcab
gcab-lang geany geany-lang gnumeric gnumeric-doc gnumeric-lang

having wallet installed doesn't mandate using it.

Because of whatever conditions you have set. Meaning the entire set of
repos you have with their priorities and your locks.

Maybe a package update would require to install something you locked.

Maybe there is an update on a different repo than the one from which the
package is currently installed, which is the typical reason. Even if you
allow repo change, the other repo may have a lower priority.

Only you knows.

nothing new.

Hi
Try using `zypper -vvv up` to provide additional information, maybe
from a different repository you have enabled?

thanks for chiming in, done it, but it didn't say much

This is a 15.3 then 15.4 the 15.5 system :-)

https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/9a379695dc31
(no need)

the machine seemed to think it was a 15.4, so...

# zypper --releasever=15.5 ref

but the repos in yast still showed 15.4

Manually edited the 15.4 repos to 15.5, now upgrading a hsitload of 15.5
packages.
