Hi,

I have a Philips SPC1000NC, and it worked perfectly in 11.0. Now it is
not recognized, and I haven't no file /dev/video0. I have checked and it
seems ucvideo module is not active. If I try to modprobe uvcvideo I get
the following error message:

FATAL: Error inserting uvcvideo (/lib/modules/2.6.27.7-9-default/weak-
updates/updates/uvcvideo.ko): Invalid module format

Has anyone faced this problem ?

Francesco

Hi,
I also have this problem.
In my case, I update an opensuse 11.0 to the 11.1
And /lib/modules/2.6.27.7-9-default/weak-updates/updates/uvcvideo.ko
was a symbolic link to an older version in /lib/modules/2.6.25.11-0.1-
default/updates/uvcvideo.ko
rm the link and after the kernel will load the good module /lib/
modules/2.6.27.7-9-default/kernel/drivers/media/video/uvc/uvcvideo.ko
It work for me, I hope it'll be the same for you

I start to think I need to install 11.1 insteda of upgrading it, even if
it was really weird, it wanted to change my partition scheme when I
wanted to install it.
