Has anybody used it? I've recently discovered that neither of my recent
installs have anything other than the maximum resolution for the
monitor/video card. Not a problem for me but my wife, who I'm trying to
wean off of MS products, likes 800x600. The computer she's using is
EXACTLY the same as the one I had running 9.2 where it was switchable, etc.

I have info on the monitors and video cards. I even have the old 9.2
XF86Config file, and I could cobble some config file(s) probably. But
I'd prefer to use a tool for this, other than vi from a xterm.

I used SaX3 on 11.3 I think, or maybe 12.1. It made me miss good old
SaX2 because its development hasn't yet taken it to the functionality
the old version had. But I got the impression when they finish it will
be a great tool. In my case it segfaulted before fixing whatever I
wanted to fix. Some day!

The two computers are setup thusly:

1. My newer one.
AMD Radeon HD6370D controller
Samsung B2030 monitor, horizontal 30-81, vertical 56-75, on the DVI
port.

2. My wifes older one.
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV controller
Norwood Micro F190C monitor, pretty much acts like a generic VESA
monitor, horizontal 28-48, vertical 50-60. Info from openSUSE 9.2
XF86Config file.

Both monitors run the gamut from 640x480 to 1152x864, the Samsung
supports/defaults to 1600x900.

Thanks for the tip but I don't think I wanna run a nvidia config tool. :-)

Still getting mysql/amarok errors. :-(
