Hello group,

I want to upgrade my Slackware to 13.0. The upgrade went through
flawlessly, except that loadlin won't boot the 2.6.29.6 (huge-smp
from the installation DVD) kernel. I use loadlin because lilo is not
accessible to blind people.

When I try to boot the kernel, it decompresses but the system immediately
reboots. I don't think the kernel executes at all.

The installation DVD boots properly, so I don't think the kernel is the
problem--loadlin can no longer handle it.

Any help is appreciated.

According to loadlin's "changes" file, kernels 2.6.23 and later require
loadlin-16d.
