Probably been asked many times, but...

With a 1024x768x256 framebuffer lilo screen, I get two penguins in the
top left corner. Why two? Anybody know?

You either have a dual core processor or one that is capable of hyper
threading.

Dual core CPU or dual processors.

You should see what a Quad core looks like... ;)

Hi,
My 2.6.29 kernel has two Tasmanian Devils instead of Penguins.

Some penguins are more progressive than others.

This means that you have two penguins working for you inside your
system.
On my quad-core system, I have four penguins doing work for me.

It's a nice feature.

Seeing as there are two of them, maybe I should respect their privacy? ;)

And you're hoping they will procreate, and you'll have even more
penguins working for you?
I shall leave my two penguins alone then, and also take away their
protective measures (firewalls maybe?).
Let's see how long it will take for them to spawn more penguins.

Sure, and someone will wake up and find they no longer have a dual core
CPU, they have a quad core.
