Hi

My user id on a slackware 13 install seems to be a member of a number of
groups (audio, video, floppy etc) but I can't find where the user id is
allocated to these groups. Its not done in /etc/passwd, /etc/group or
/etc/shadow. Is there somewhere else I should look?

Thanks for any help

bolta...@yahoo.co.uk :

You must have a different Slack 13 than I do, it's in /etc/group

Hi B2003,

These are defined by "CONSOLE_GROUPS" in /etc/login.defs.

Hope that helps,

Tom
