Hi,
I have some xrays on a cd that I want to look at and they are in
the DICOM format. A program that supposedly reads this format is
kradview-1.1.0 (lastest version). I have the code but it is from 2008 and
not compatible with newer versions of qt and kde. I downloaded a 'safe'
version of qt3 for slack13.37 and with some soft links I have managed to
get the configure process to find Qt and the kde libs for kde 3.5.xx.
However the configure process chokes with the statement:
"checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no". I have built and
installed the plugins for slack 13.37 but I don't know how to get the
build process to find them. The other kde stuff is in /usr/local/kde.
Help with the build would be appreciated or if there is another
way to view these xrays (without using my windows laptop) I would be
grateful for that.
Thanks, jwc

I can't help with Kradview, at least not without spending more time
on it than I'm presently inclined to, but here are some alternatives
that came up after a relatively brief search:

http://aeskulap.nongnu.org/
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.37/graphics/aeskulap/
(requires libglademm and gconfmm)

http://amide.sourceforge.net/

http://ginkgo-cadx.com/en/

You might also find additional alternatives here:

I hope this helps.
