Hello,
is there an online package search for RedHat like it is available for
Ubuntu an Debian?
https://packages.ubuntu.com/

I haven't found that yet.

Not really, at least I tend to know what I'm looking for, so
http://rpmfind.net has worked for me, it also shows more than just
redhat and there been times I have downloaded a source package for
another distribution and then built it for redhat.

You have the fedora projects site too, as fedora is the testing ground
for redhat, you will find most of the stuff there, but maybe not worth
to download as they will most likely have a dependency your version of
redhat may not have.
https://packages.fedoraproject.org
and also https://apps.fedoraproject.org

I don't know how it looks at https://sso.redhat.com but I think there
are some pages with listing the packages, but you need to have a redhat
account (paying subscription fee?).

Otherwise "yum search" may work if you know a little bit what you are
looking for.

I hope that will be for some use for you.

Not really what I am looking for, it doesn't show results for RHEL.

Thanks, that was the right guess. We have a subscription at work, so I
can access it:

https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/package-browser

It is sad that it isn't available for everybody, because then it would
be in the search results of Google etc.
Additionally, people interested in RedHat could check if their needed
software is available.
