While certainly not anything scientific. It seems a lot more people are
interested in Mangeia than Mandriva.

Since I started these torrents Tues nite.

As of now.

Mangeia DVD:

32 bit has 54 completed uploads with 12 peers.
64 bit has 53 completed uploads with 16 peers.

Mandriva beta3 DVD:

32 bit has 36 completed uploads with 2 peers.
64 bit has 33 completed uploads with 3 peers.

When Mandriva 2011 is released, I'll do a check on the same time frame to
see what difference a "release" version vs beta makes.

Since Mageia is a final and Mandriva a beta this is hardly surprizing.

It should make a huge difference. Most people are not interested in
testing out a beta. They want a useable system.

I agree. Said so in first post involving the downloads ( different thread
).

Again, I agree. I'm interested in the first few days of the Mandriva 2011
release, but wanted to post the stats I have now.

If I write em down, and post all at once someone will question whether I
fudged any of them.

What I noticed much was the shortage of Mandriva peers. I was surprised at

Mint, for example. It has Twitter and Facebook contacts from all over the

That's why I kept running ktorrent, seeding the Mandriva beta, until early
yesterday (now), as it kept showing leachers with no seeders other then me.

I only shut it down when it had stalled due to no downloads for several
hours. When there is only one seeder, I expect it would be much faster
to download from one of the ftp sites. I can't upload faster then 55 MB/s.
