First you have to make sure that your HPdeskjet computer actually
advertises the printer on the network. Alternatively, you tell the
netbook which machine to connect to to deliver the ipp jobs.
Well, I went into CUPS interface on the main computer and enabled
"Advertise web interface" to no avail. That's the only setting I've
found that infers what your saying. I've already checked "Share printers
connected to this system", but the netbook doesn't acknowledge anything
to connect to and I hit a brick wall. I know I've shared printers
between my Mandriva systems before and I don't remember it being all this
difficult. I'm missing something here. Thanks for the reply.

You have got 'CUPS' selected in the Firewall, haven't you?

You may also have a firewall getting in the way. Try shutting it off (at
least temporarily) on the printing host.
The Firewall was in my way. I checked CUPS and now this thing has access
to both my Linux printers. Thanks all. I appreciate your input.
